Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the price include set up and delivery?
A: Yes, although there may be a minimum order depending upon your location. Please remember that prices do not include DE Rental Tax (1.9914%) or any applicable State Tax for MD and PA, but are for all day up to 8 hours.

Q: What times should I enter?
A: Enter your events EXACT start and end times. We will ensure that your rental is ready to go for your specific start time.

Q: When do you set up?
A: We will call you a day or two before your event to give you a delivery window. And we've never been late to an event! Delivery may occur the day before your event, but we cannot guarantee that, so please don't tell the kids. ;-)

Q: Will it fit?
A: Without visiting your location - we do not know. All set up area requirements per unit are posted under "More Info" for each unit. The customer needs to measure to ensure that the unit will fit. The units are bigger than one thinks. We would be very disappointed to show up and not be set up the unit on your special day, due to size constraints.

Q: Are your inflatables clean?
A: Yes. Our professional team will clean the unit(s) and perform a safety inspection before your event.

Q: Why am I being charged a tax if my event is in Delaware?
A: Many are not aware but DE charges a 1.9914% on any and all rentals.

Q: Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?
A: Yes. A blower keeps air in the bounce house the entire time. Once unplugged they deflate. That's why we require an outlet within 100 feet of the unit or a generator. Longer cords can pop your circuit breaker so we bring our own heavy duty cords.

Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes all orders require a $100.00 deposit. If the event is cancelled prior to 30 days of the event the deposit is refundable. If the event is cancelled within 30 days of the event it is non-refundable but can be used as a raincheck towards another event rental.

Q: What payments do you take?
A: Cash or Credit Cards. If paying by cash, please have exact change as our drivers do not carry cash. If you would like to make your final payment on a credit card, it MUST be done prior to the delivery or at delivery.

Q: Can we see a copy of your contract and safety rules?
A: Yes. There is a link in your receipt once you've ordered or you may contact our office.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We are very flexible with our cancellation policy. While the $100.00 deposit is NON-refundable within 30 days of the event, if you or Big Wave Party Rentals deems it necessary to reschedule your event your deposit can be used towards the rental of anything from the website. Big Wave Party Rentals may require cancellation due to weather based on the current weather report from Weather.com and /or WeatherUnderground.com.

Q: Special Delivery - This item requires special considerations.
A: Make sure you have at least a 6 ft access to the area where this item will be set up. The inflatables can weigh up to 700 pounds so we need a clear path with ample room and no stairs or steep hills..

Q: Set up Surface - What types of surface can you set up on?
A: We can set up on Grass (our favorite and best for the kids), asphalt, concrete, or inside on a gym or similar floor. Sorry, we can't set up on any type of rocks, gravel, mulch or sand as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl jumps. There is an additional surface fee charge for units not set up on grass that require more than 10 sandbags.

Q: Parks - Do you set up in parks?
A: Yes and No - Parks are available for set up most months - all depends on the demand. Since parks are open to the public - the customer MUST be with the unit(s) at all times. Therefore exact setup and pickup times are hard to accommodate during our busy season (June, July, Aug.). Generators are a MUST rent when setting up in a park. Please call to order when reserving in a park to check for availability.

Q: Special Weather Consideration - This item has weather restrictions.
A: We are not able to set up some items if the forecast (using weather.com or weatherunderground.com) calls for 30% chance or rain or greater. We also can not set up inflatables when there is sustained winds of over 15 MPH or projected wind gusts of 15 MPH or greater. In that case, you may reschedule your event or choose replacement items from available equipment.

Q: State of PA - Do you operate in Pennsylvania?
A: Big Wave Party Rentals is licensed and insured in the state of Pennsylvania - however not all units are PA approved. Please check out our "PA" category on our home page - for PA approved units. - ALL units are approved for DE & MD.
